Dr Sandya Jalapu obtained her medical degree from the Gandhi Medical College, she worked as a junior medical officer at a number of hospitals across Queensland, Australia. She then completed her specialist Endocrinology training in Australia from The Princess Alexandra Hospital, Toowoomba Hospital and then The Townsville Hospital. She was later admitted as Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017. She worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the Logan Hospital, Brisbane. 

As well as general endocrinology and diabetes, Dr Sandya's training has included clinical and research role focusing on the management of Brown Adipose Tissue, through which, she published numerous journal articles.

Dr Sandya regularly attends diabetes and endocrinology conferences to remain up to date with the latest in evidence based clinical practice. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research and challenging clinical cases at the national diabetes and endocrine conferences. medical center
